Wraith – Apex Guide: Origin
Wraith is the codename for subject 61137 of apex legends. Not so much of her backstory is known. Wraith is a strong resilient whirlwind fighter who woke up in a detention facility with no memory of her past life. Not so long after, she began hearing voices in her head which drove her insane from time to time. This timely display of insanity was more than enough reason why she was held in the facility.
However, before she got sedated, as usual, a portal opened and someone came out of it. Staff trying to sedate Wraith at the moment were scared off by the person who came out of the portal. Interestingly, it was wraith who came out from the portal but she was from another dimension. Together, they resolved to seek revenge on the people who experimented on Wraith. As time passed, she learned to trust all the voices from her head because they were instincts meant to guide her and teach her how to walk within voids and also manipulate realities.
She escaped the facility using the same portal to the Voidwalker’s dimension. She later surfaced in Kings Canyon – which was still under construction for Apex Games. Set to find out what her true identity is and what kind of experiment she had gone through. If she succeeds is now totally up to her determination and resolve. Every fight brings her one step closer to the truth.
Wraith – Apex Guide: Strengths and Weaknesses
Wraith has heightened situational awareness. As such, she is great for spotting enemies and launching first attacks. We know the importance of staying alive in gaming, and being able to discover enemies’ locations before you get attacked is vital to that purpose. Her abilities allow her and her team to reposition and regroup to face any incoming threats.
Wraith – Apex Guide: Abilities Overview
Wraith has a passive, tactical, and ultimate ability that she could use for getting out of impossible situations. Let’s take a bold look at these unique abilities and how you can leverage them for an awesome gaming experience.
- Passive: Voices from the Void
- You start to hear voices in your head when danger approaches.
- Tactical: Into the Void
- Step into the Void to avoid all incoming damage.
- Ultimate: Dimensional Rift
- Create 2 linked portals any player can travel through for 60 seconds.
Voices from the Void (Passive)
Wraith’s passive skill is situational awareness which helps keep her aware of her immediate environment. As a passive skill, it simply means wraith would hear whispers of warning about nearby attacks or threats. It’s the most lucrative skill because you don’t have to do anything extra. Either it’s a sniper, nearby bomb, or gas trap you’d get the right timely info you need to survive.
Be sure to keep your volumes on because you’d get a timely warning of lurking attacks. It comes as a complete warning hence you’d get information regarding the location and type of attack
Things you might not have known about Wraith’s Voices from the Void:
- Make sure your volume is turned up or turn on subtitles so you do not miss the Passive audio.
- Listen closely as Wraith’s Passive will tell you the specific type of danger you are in.
Into the Void (Tactical)
Wraith can play up to two animations and this is usually possible when she activates this ability. When activated, she can use this ability for up to 4 seconds in total. This ability opens a portal and wraith vanishes to reappear at another end of the opened portal. While Wraith is in the void, the screen turns grayscale which means enemies can no longer see her but she can see them. As a result, for those 4 seconds, she is invulnerable. And will also have a speed boot up to 30% better.
Things you might not have known about Wraith’s Into the Void:
- You can go Into the Void while also placing your 2 portals, which helps in travel faster and further.
- There is a slight delay when activating your ability and also a slow-down time when coming out of your ability.
Dimensional Rift (Ultimate)
This is the ultimate ability wraith has and if used correctly increases speed and timing and focuses attack on the enemy within an area. When wraith uses this ability, she opens one end of the portal door and runs to another location to create the other end. Going through this portal increases speed three times over. Interestingly, she can also use this portal for ease of movement for other team players.
While running within this portal, wraith can use any object in her path for attacks and defense depending on the purpose they suitably serve
Things you might not have known about Warith’s Dimensional Rift:
- Portal orientation matters. If an enemy team is chasing you through your portal, go behind it and wait for them to emerge facing the opposite direction.
- After placing your first portal, you have increased speed while placing the second portal.
- Downed teammates can crawl through the portal.
Wraith – Apex Guide: Tips and Tricks
Winning the Apex legend matches with a player like Wraith is entirely possible but you need to learn some of her tricks and hacks that would make that possible. Let me explain.
Use Portal Exit plan: It’s always right to think of alternate and escape routes in the heat of battle. Either you are attacking or being attacked, you can set up an escape portal for yourself and your teammates. This will not only help the team regroup but also makes a sneak attack on the enemy possible. In sneak-up attacks, it’s advisable to use shotguns because, for Wraith, it’s a formidable weapon
Make Very Aggressive Plays: Compared to any other Legends, wraith should play a lot more aggressively. Firstly, she has a voice from the void that warns her of impending danger, and secondly, she has a tactical ability that can take her out of harm’s way. Nothing should stop a legend like that and given her abilities it’s easier to adopt a more aggressive play. Moving between portals is a piece of cake and that can help her close gaps quickly.
Be a team player: Wraith’s ultimate ability is better optimized for team play. However, for things to work out fine, you have to communicate your intention to make sure nobody gets in your way. Although wraith’s abilities are tempting and crazily intriguing for solo plays, it’s wrong to go all out as a lone ranger. You just might end up putting your team in trouble.
Link your abilities: Each ability opens a door of opportunity to the other so sometimes you have to use them as a combination and not in isolation. If you hear a voice that an enemy is close by, your best bet would be using another ability like “Into the Void” to close distance to move for a quick kill.
